Honey lemon and yogurt face mask is a universal remedy for facial skin care. You can adapt the mask for all skin types.

If you have dry skin, use plain yogurt and reduce the amount of lemon juice.

If you are the owner of oily skin is best to buy non-fat yogurt and add a little more lemon juice.

You can make this mask for aging skin because it contains a lot of vitamins that are lacking in our skin to age.

You can use in this recipe lemon essential oil instead of lemon juice (I talked about it in the article lemon yogurt mask).

Please note: Do not do this mask if you have a party today. In this case it is better to use more sensitive ingredients. This mask can cause a rush of blood to the surface of the skin and slight redness. Therefore it is better to do it at night.

The mask does not work instantly. You will not see the magical change the face skin after one use. The result of most home remedies for facial will be noticeable after regular use for at least a month.

This mixture has a strong effect to improve the state of the skin, because every ingredient has its own special properties.

  • Yogurt nourishes the skin and at the same time works as a chemical peel due to the acid contained in it.
  • Lemon is a source of vitamin C. It smooth skin tone, lightens it (including the black dots), cleans the skin and works as an exfoliator.
  • Honey at the same time is cleansing and healing agent. Antibacterial properties help to fight with acne.

Thus, the mask simultaneously has some advantage points. It acts like a powerful nourishing exfoliating and healing remedy. If your skin responds to it without irritation, you can make it twice a week.

Twice a week?if u do this twice a week..it will take one year to see the result…u can do this twice a day…I’ve watched all videos about skin in youtube…most of them saying that we can do this twice a day or once a day or all other days…hope u all understand…

When I write – twice a week, I look at things really.
First, I believe that most people have neither time nor desire to take care of the skin all day long.
Second, what is the reason to do the same mask daily if you can make several different masks twice a week?
Third and most important, you don’t need to torture your skin by non-stop care. Give it the chance to exist some time independently. Making a mask twice a day, you just deprive your skin of natural lubrication and disrupt water and fat balance.
Mandatory daily procedure is only cleansing and moisturizing (deep cleansing no more than once every two weeks). One mask is enough to do in a day.
Well, if you really like to do it every day – it’s up to you.
But twice a day could be more harm than good.

if i use the mixture of lemon juice, honey and yoghurt once daily, will i get fairness and flawless as a result? if so ,can i use that treatment as permanent basis

  • Irina  March 1, 2015 at 22:55

    1. You should not use the same mask every day, the skin becomes accustomed to it and you will not see good results.
    2. Furthermore honey and lemon are allergic elements. If use them on a regular basis they can cause skin irritation.
Better solution to use different masks or other means of cosmetics for regular face skin care.

Can I reuse my masks if I make too large of a batch, or should I always make a fresh batch?

  • Irina  October 26, 2015 at 17:19

    Always make a fresh batch.
Masks can be stored in the fridge one day.
