Apple brown sugar face scrub refers to the delicate scrubs. It suits for all skin types including sensitive skin. That scrub is similar in operation to the lemon sugar scrub but works more softly. It doesn’t irritate even the most capricious skin.
Apple brown sugar scrub has dual action: sugar works mechanically; acid containing in the apple dissolved the old skin cells.
I love this scrub for double effect. You’ve got two things at once:
Firstly – the face is nourishing and moisturizing. Secondly – the old skin is peeling.
If you’ll like this scrub, you can do it twice a week.
- ½ green apple
- 1 Tbsp of brown sugar
- 1 tsp of olive oil
Wash the apple. Use a green apple because it contains more vitamin C and less allergenic. Apple peel is very useful, it contains up to 70% of the vitamins. However, remember that this is true only for fresh apples. For apple mask it’s better to use peeled apple. For the scrub you can use apple with the peel. It will give an additional exfoliating effect.
Cut the apple in half and remove seeds. Grate half an apple on a fine grater or grind it in the blender.
Crush brown sugar in a coffee grinder to chop up large grains to prevent the harmful effects of delicate face skin.
Mix 1 table spoon of apple puree with sugar. Add the olive oil. If you have oily skin you can add half teaspoon of lemon juice instead of olive oil.
Thoroughly mix the ingredients. Don’t worry for brown mixture color. Apple is oxidized due to the iron contained in it. That doesn’t affect the properties of the scrub even.
Rub the scrub into the skin with gentle circular movements. Massage your face for 2-3 minutes.
Leave it on for 15-20 minutes.
Remove the scrub with lukewarm water.
Apply favorite cream if necessary.
