Hydrating Yogurt Face Mask

Hydrating yogurt face mask combined with the scrub could be the best decision when your skin loses moisture and appears with dry patches. The skin is no longer smooth and pleasant to the touch with age. It resembles sandpaper and looks bad. The wrinkles on dry skin are very noticeable, even the small ones.

The skin loses moisture due to many factors, both external and internal. So it’s important to know that maintaining the water balance for skin care you have to drink plenty of water throughout the day.

You also have to clean the face daily, to scrub the face once a week and to do moisturizing masks twice a week. In this case, the water balance of your skin will always be normal.

So, the moisturizing mask recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tbsp of natural yogurt
  • 1 Tbsp of mashed potatoes
  • 1 tsp of glycerin

Wash and peel one small potato.

Boil the potatoes.

Mash hot potatoes with a fork to make smoother puree. Do not use a blender. When potatoes are crushed in a blender it could get sticky.

Mix hot mashed potatoes with yogurt.

Add a teaspoon of glycerin diluted with water (1:1 ratio).

Glycerin has moisture absorbing properties, so it is not used in the masks in the pure state. Also, do not use glycerin in indoor with humidity below 40-50%. When humidity is insufficient glycerin could take water from the skin.

We can talk about adding glycerin if it is on hand of course. This mask has a moisturizing effect anyway.

Try to make mask quickly until the mixture is too cool.

Apply a warm mask on your face and leave it on for 15-20 minutes.

Hydrating Yogurt Face Mask

Rinse off the mask with cool water and apply a moisturizer.

If you do this mask twice a week for about two months, you’ll see how your skin will come soft.
