Strawberry yogurt and honey face mask can be recommended to all fans of home skin care independently of their skin type. It has pleasant smell and taste. Your skin could use a breath of fresh air after this mask.
When strawberry season is in full swing, I do the mask from them almost daily. Of course, you can buy strawberries in any supermarket all year round, but they grow in the greenhouse and will never have a real strawberry flavor and aroma.
When I’m in a hurry I make a simple mask from yogurt with strawberries or just smear strawberry puree onto my face. But when I have free time I’d like to use more interesting recipes.
Mask with honey requires relaxing time. Honey has a strong warms up effect so that pores on the face open and that may cause slight reddening of the skin. Therefore, it’s undesirable to go out for 1-2 hours after the honey mask. Best way to do it before going to bed.
- 2 strawberries
- 1Tbsp of yogurt
- 1 Tbsp of honey
Wash your face; otherwise the effects of the mask will not be fruitful. Wash strawberries and remove the stem.
Do not use candied honey because the mask is very delicate. Such honey is better to use for the scrubs. If the honey has hardened heat it a little in a water bath so that it becomes transparent. Many people use the microwave for this purpose. But I do not recommend it. Microwave radiation kills all the beneficial properties of the honey.
Fatness of yogurt depends on the type of the skin. Dry skin needs fat yogurt and vice versa.
Put all ingredients in a bowl.
Mix them with the blender until a beautiful smooth.
Spread mask on face and neck. Do not touch the eye area. But if some mask gets into your mouth don’t worry. It’s eatable.
Enjoy the aroma of strawberries for 15-20 minutes.
Use a damp cloth to wipe your face and remove the mask.
Sprinkle the face with cold water to close the pores and wash off remains of mask.
